If you have recently graduated as a Telecom Engineer and are interested in the future evolution of the wireless world and in particular wants to contribute to the uprising of 5G, this is a job for you.

Keysight's corporate research Labs team based in Aalborg is expanding and focuses on the development of advanced 5G RF and Telecom test equipment. The research focuses is to identify and solve the new challenges implied by the wireless system evolution. Advanced handset test is central to the activity.

Our Labs team is entrepreneurial to ensure the results delivered matches the business communities’ needs. Different topics and technology will be touched upon such that a larger horizon of work will be provided, opening new perspectives.

The team operates in a fast paced environment that focuses on technology development to drive business objectives and you will therefore be integrated in an open environment where work, design, development and document are of high quality. The work will include learning on how to work with complex telecom test systems with high levels of quality and performance.

The position may require travel across Europe to meet with research partners and may require travel to engage face to face on technical issues with the internal Keysight divisions. The candidate needs to be open to thinking beyond the technical side of work.

Qualifications (required):

  • A recent Ph.D. or are engaged in post-doctoral research in RF and/or telecommunication systems
  • Fluent in English 
  • An understanding of 2G/3G/4G telecommunication systems, with RF & baseband background from L1 to L3
  • Interest in learning and expanding your knowledge on air interface challenges increase your experience in the UE/eNodeB portion of the network
  • Background understanding of MIMO, RF, modulation
  • An interest in learning how the different elements needs to be tested and validated
  • Experience with Matlab programming
  • A track record of peer-reviewed publications in your field

Qualifications (preferred):

  • Test and Measurement products knowledge (Signal Analyzers, Signal Generator, Oscilloscopes, Modular Instruments, etc.). 
  • Experience with SystemVue
