TheN2839A differential browser head has been introduced by Keysight Technologies for use with its InfiniiMax I/II Series probe amps, bringing the measurement fidelity of a solder-in probe head to hand-held browsing. When used with the InfiniiMax II 1169A probe amplifier, the N2839A gives users 12GHz of bandwidth.

Greater insights faster. That’s the promise Keysight Technologies gives for its newly launched Truevolt Series digital multimeters – the 34465A DMM (6½ digit) and the Keysight 34470A DMM (7½ digit). The DMMs help engineers visualise their measurement data in multiple ways, get actionable information faster and document their results more easily using the DMM’s advanced graphical capabilities, such as trend and histogram charts.

Keysight Technologies has introduced the 81606A tunable laser source, a new module for the 8164B lightwave measurement system. With sub-picometer tuning repeatability and excellent wavelength accuracy, even in full-speed, two-way sweeps, the new module helps verify the design of demanding devices and reduce test cost per device.

Two photovoltaic array simulators help engineers develop, verify and maximise the performance of inverter maximum power point tracking algorithms and circuits. Engineers can use the Keysight N8937APV and N8957APV photovoltaic array (PV) simulators in a laboratory or on a manufacturing line to simulate the output characteristics of a real-world photovoltaic array.

Keysight Technologies has announced a complimentary Aerospace & Defence Symposium, taking place on Thursday 15th October 2015 at the company's Winnersh office, near Reading. Technical presentations will focus on the subject of communications, satellite, radar, and antenna measurements.

Timestrip time-lapse indicators, which are visual reminders for timely replacement or servicing, and Timestrip PLUS temperature-threshold indicators, which enable convenient and cost-effective monitoring of temperature sensitive perishables have been announced by RS Components.

Two higher temperature models have been added to the Keysight Technologies thermal imagers portfolio. The U5856A and U5857A can perform temperature measurements up to 650 and 1200°C respectively. This allows users to detect a wide temperature range for various applications such as petrochemical and steel processing, electrical and mechanical applications, building maintenance and even electronics applications.

Keysight Technologies has added three low-frequency options for its E4982A LCR meter. It makes the instrument well suited for RF inductor, coil and EMI filter manufacturers that are required to perform impedance testing at various frequencies. Today’s smart phones and other electronic equipment often utilise components such as inductors and EMI filters. Ensuring these passive components operate as expected in the real-world requires impedance testing during production, as well as during quality assurance.
