Keysight's corporate research Labs team based in Aalborg is expanding and focuses on the development of advanced 5G RF and Telecom test equipment. The research focuses is to identify and solve the new challenges implied by the wireless system evolution. Advanced handset test is central to the activity.

The team operates in a fast paced environment that focuses on technology development to drive business objectives, therefore you must be able to work, design, develop, document and maintain complex telecom test systems with high levels of quality and performance.

You will also work with marketing, field applications engineers and customers to identify and define compelling improvements, enhancements and features. The position will require regular travel across Europe to meet with research partners and occasional travel to engage face to face on technical issues with the internal Keysight divisions.

Keysight is looking for someone who is able to act in an entrepreneurial manner to ensure the results delivered match the business communities’ needs. You should also be comfortable with direct communication with all levels of technical and business resources.

Qualifications (required):

  • MSc or a PhD university degree in software development or telecommunication systems
  • Fluent in English
  • 5-10 years of experience with the following skills:
  • 2G/3G/4G telecommunication systems understanding, from L2 to L3
  • Understanding of the different EPC, CN and RAN interfaces from 3G and 4G systems
  • UE/eNodeB protocol portion of the network
  • Protocol development, modeling and simulations tools
  • Embedded and/or object oriented programing, C# or C++

Qualifications (preferred):

  • Test and Measurement products knowledge (Signal Analyzers, Signal Generator, Oscilloscopes, Modular Instruments, One box/UE testers etc.).
  • Experience with UE/Handset test and the associated requirements (from conformance to functional tests)
