A solution for measuring, analysing and visualising the coverage generated by 5G base stations has been announced by Keysight Technologies. It consists of Keysight’s Nemo Outdoor, combined with FieldFox handheld RF and microwave analysers, and enables mobile operators and network vendors to measure 5G radio propagation and coverage.

The InfiniiVision 1000 X-series of oscilloscopes boasts 50 to 100MHz models that feature unique, Keysight-custom technology. The oscilloscopes deliver professional-level functionality with excellent software analysis and 6-in-1 instrument integration.

110GHz signal analyser unveiled for millimeter-wave 5G applications
An industry-leading breakthrough in spectrum and signal analysis at millimeter-wave frequencies was unveiled with a flourish by Keysight Technologies at European Microwave Week in London. The N9041B UXA X-series signal analyser is the first to provide frequency coverage to 110GHz with a maximum analysis bandwidth of up to 5GHz.

The newest release of its high-performance, Advanced Low-Frequency Noise Analyser, which is designed to make fast, accurate and repeatable low-frequency noise measurements has been released by Keysight Technologies. CXPI options aid engineering efficiency for automotive applications
Clock extension peripheral interface (CXPI) decoding and triggering options have been unveiled by Keysight Technologies for its InfiniiVision3000T and 4000 X-Series oscilloscopes. Keysight says that these are the only oscilloscopes available that can decode and trigger on the CXPI bus. These new capabilities improve engineers’ efficiency in debugging the physical layer of CXPI serial buses, which are used primarily in automotive applications.

Step-by-step MOI simplifies cable assembly compliance
A new Method of Implementation (MOI) document for cable assembly compliance tests defined in Rev. 1.1 of the USB Type-C specification and Rev. 1.0 of the USB Type-C Compliance Test Specification (CTS) has been released by Keysight Technologies. The USB Type-C MOI, together with a test package such as Keysight’s state file, works with the M937xA PXIe multiport vector network analyser to provide the compliance test solution for USB Type-C cable assemblies.

Multichannel mmW test solution speeds new technology development
An E-band Signal Analysis Reference Solution to provide low-cost millimeter wave analysis capability for applications in the 60-90 GHz range has been released by Keysight Technologies. The reference solution is based around the 10-bit ADC Infiniium S-Series oscilloscopes to provide 2.5GHz of high-fidelity, millimetre wave frequency analysis bandwidth.

Analyser opens door to advanced device characterisation
An analyser enabling a minimum of 100-pA level dynamic current measurements with a maximum of 200MHz bandwidth, 1GSa/s sampling rate and 14- or 16-bit wide dynamic range has been unveiled by Keysight Technologies. The CX3300 Series Device Current Waveform Analyser is a new category of instrument and is ideally suited for researchers struggling with high-speed transient current measurements during advanced device characterisation and engineers working to reduce power/current consumption in low-power devices.

Oscilloscopes cover 25/100/400 Gb/s optical test
The N1092A, N1092B and N1092DDCA-M sampling oscilloscopes released by Keysight Technologies are ideal for 25/100/400 Gb/s optical test. Networks of 100 and 400 Gb/s rely on multiple-lane transmitters based on 25 Gb/s class lasers. As these technologies become mainstream and transition to high-volume manufacturing, there is a growing need for test systems that provide high accuracy at a low cost.
