Keysight, the world's premier measurement company, has an opening for a Microwave and Measurement Engineer in the High Frequency Technology Center in Santa Rosa, California.

The specific job responsibilities include development, implementation and validation of leading-edge measurement SW solutions for Keysight MMICs (InP and GaAs: amplifiers, mixers, switches and attenuators - from DC to 100GHz). The developed test SW will be integrated with existing test executives.

The position requires a combined experience in microwave EE and SW development. Must have a solid working knowledge of VB/C#/.NET language within the Microsoft development environment. The Test SW Engineer will work closely with MMIC designers to understand test requirements, and production teams develop test algorithms to match the product performance and schedule.

  • Development of measurement algorithms
  • Development of re-usable and supportable test SW
  • Development of unit and system test for SW
  • Participation in design and code reviews
  • Perform builds and releases to deploy test solution in production.


  • Bachelors, Master or Ph.D. in Electrical Engineering, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Physics or equivalent experience
  • Excellent understanding and experience in RF/Microwave theory and test instrumentation
  • Experience in on-wafer microwave test and calibration
  • Experience in C#.NET and OOP concepts and design, SW development processes, source code configuration management tools
  • Ability and desire to work on rapid paced projects with several design tasks
  • Ability to work effectively as a member of a larger team in multiple functional areas (R&D, Operations, Maintenance)
  • Dual degree emphasis Microwave EE/CS desired
  • Candidates must have excellent interpersonal, problem solving, and communication skills for successful inter and intra-group interactions
  • Minimum of 4 years relevant experience, with typically 5 to 8 years
