China 5G interoperability tests successfully completed
Keysight Technologies has announced the successful completion of the interoperability development tests of phase 2 of China’s IMT-2020 5G trials. Keysight assisted global network equipment manufacturers (NEMs) in accelerating their 5G key technology validations. Throughout the year of phase 2 testing, Keysight partnered with Huawei, ZTE, Datang, Ericsson and Nokia Shanghai Bell.

A collaboration between Keysight Technologies and Bluetest has led to the successful creation of a narrowband - internet of things (NB-IoT)) over-the-air (OTA) solution for use in Bluetest Reverberation Test Systems. The solution, used by one of Japan’s top operator customers, demonstrates the leading position of both companies in NB-IoT test.

Collaboration addresses IoT deployment test needs
Keysight Technologies has announced it will use an agreement with Sequans Communications’ Monarch LTE for IoT chip platform to provide support for NB-IoT and LTE-M customers using Keysight’s E7515A UXM wireless test set. The integration assures users that they have their test needs covered for IoT deployments and are in compliance with 3GPP standards.

Duo collaborate on 5G technology development
A collaboration with Qualcomm Technologies to enable the realisation of 5G technologies has been announced by Keysight Technologies which has a comprehensive suite of design and test tools to support chipset development for next-generation cellular devices. Keysight’s new 5G network emulation solutions portfolio, supported by Keysight’s new UXM 5G wireless test platform, enables Qualcomm Technologies to validate the chipset technology and the higher-layer protocols needed for 5G.

Keysight Technologies and Spreadtrum Communications have announced the Spreadtrum-Keysight Innovation Centre, located in Shanghai. The Centre strengthens the strategic partnership between the two companies, first announced in 2016. It will provide mobile module design and test services for designers aiming to move forward the next generation of mobile communications innovations.

China Telecom chooses Keysight for NB-IoT device test
A cellular-IoT test solution from Keysight Technologiess was selected by China Telecom to help accelerate its Narrow-Band IoT (NB-IoT) chipset and module certification progress. Based on the E7515A UXM wireless test set, Keysight is the only all-in-one test platform vendor to support China Telecom’s NB-IoT RF conformance test and power consumption verification.

MWC2017: Keysight expands commitment to Telecom Infra Project
Keysight Technologies has strengthened its commitment to the Telecom Infra Project (TIP) founded by Facebook and others. Keysight will co-chair a newly-formed subgroup focused on test automation within TIP’s OpenCellular project group. As part of this sub-group, Keysight will contribute the open source code that enables automated testing for design verification and a low-cost manufacturing solution for OpenCellular base stations.

MWC 2017: Keysight, ZTE demonstrate 1 Gbps IP data throughput
At Mobile World Congress, Keysight Technologies successfully demonstrated 1 Gbps IP data throughput using its wireless test set, the E7515A UXM for functional and RF design validation with ZTE’s latest Gigabit Phone. Keysight and ZTE have worked in concert to achieve sustained IP data downloads of 1 Gbps by using a combination of three component carrier aggregation (3CC), 4x4 downlink MIMO and 256QAM modulation.

Partners start work on Phase II of 5G Technology R&D Trial
Keysight Technologies has begun working with Huawei on phase II of the China 5G Technology R&D Trial. Using its UXA N9040B signal analyser and 89601B VSA signal analysis software, Keysight has conducted the first integration tests with Huawei’s 5G prototype base station. The tests cover numerology, frame structure, and new waveform in the 5G new radio (5G NR).
