The Premier Farnell Technology Challenge aims to raise aspirations and help young people aged 16 - 18 years explore careers in digital and tech, an industry which is set to grow by 15% in this region over the next decade.

The reporting service provides an automated reporting workflow for acceptance, verification, benchmarking, in-building and drive test measurements. It shortens the turnaround time from data collection to reports and provides a single point of control.

Conjoule deal takes TEPCO into blockchain technology
Tokyo Electric Power Company Holdings (TEPCO) has closed a 3m Euro Series A investment in Conjoule GmbH, a start-up developing peer-to-peer energy markets enabled by blockchain technology. Conjoule is developing a peer-to-peer marketplace for producers and consumers of renewable energy, as well as owners of batteries and other sources of flexibility, to transact with each other without the need for traditional intermediaries.

Problem diagnosis enhances insulation resistance testers
A series of insulation resistance testers that are capable of safely testing both high- and low-voltage equipment has been announced by Megger. The MIT515, MIT525, MIT1025 and MIT1525 feature testing techniques that provide valuable diagnostic information to the user. Each of the instruments can easily test high-voltage power cables and buses, large motor/generator windings as well as line and substation transformers for insulation resistance.

A new MIPI D-PHY and C-PHY test solution to help accelerate the development of next-generation mobile and IoT devices has been released by Keysight Technologies. The test solution supports the MIPI Alliance’s D-PHY v2.0/v2.1 specification and C-PHY v1.0/v1.1 specification and conformance test suite.

Oscilloscope differential inputs avoids short circuits
The Handyscope HS6 DIFF is a four channel high resolution oscilloscope from Tie Pie engineering with differential inputs. It is available in models with 50MS/s up to 1GS/s sampling rate. The instrument features TiePie engineering's SafeGround technology, differential inputs that can safely be switched to single ended. The benefit is that there are no connections between the channels and the ground of the computer.
